Let’s take a look at the agreements already signed at MotoGP™ and those that are still pending, amid certainty and rumors
The market for MotoGP™ riders is becoming increasingly evident with the announcement of confirmations by Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi to line up for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, to which Takaaki Nakagami has signed another year with LCR Honda Idemitsu.
Thus, the activity of managers and teams on this front is almost over. Even if there is still something to be determined. Anyway, here are the teams that have officially made the names of the riders who will be moving to the track next season.
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™: Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli
The signing of World Champion Fabio Quartararo enhances the current Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ team line-up. The Frenchman will share the box with Franco Morbidelli for at least another year: the Italian’s contract, in fact, expires at the end of 2023.
This is what Yamaha Quartararo promised to convince him
Aprilia Racing: Alex Espargaro and Maverick Vinales
The big surprise of 2022, Aprilia Racing, confirmed Alex Espargaro and Maverick Vinales during the Oakley Italian Grand Prix.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing: Brad Bender and Jack Miller
The Austrian house sacked Miguel Oliveira and replaced him with Jack Miller. Indeed, the Portuguese asked to accept a place on the Tech3 satellite team, but the person in question clearly shook his head at “No thanks”.
Ducati Lenovo Team: Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini
Who will accompany Pecco Bagnaia in red in 2023? With Jack Miller already headed to other shores, a playoff between Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP™), both currently on the Borgo Panigale space teams, has taken place in recent weeks. In the end, it was the rider from Rimini who in 2023 would be able to fulfill his dream and wear the official red color of the Emilian house.
First Pramac Race: Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco
Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco will remain with the Tuscan team next season as well.
Gresini Racing MotoGP™: Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio
On the occasion of the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, Gresini Racing MotoGP™ has officially set 2023: next season, the confirmation and novelty of defending the team colors will be from Faenza. Confirmation bears the name Roman Fabio Di Giannantonio while the grandmother will be called Alex Marquez who – after many years at Honda – leaves the Japanese house and goes to Ducati. A great challenge for the Cervera rider.
Repsol Honda Team: Marc Marquez and Joan Mir
Marc Marquez is yet to reach the middle of his four-year contract. Joanne Mir will leave Suzuki and will stay with him in 2023 and 2024.
With Team U Yamaha RNF MotoGPTM: Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez
In 2023, the team will become an Aprilia team, running on Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) along with Raul Fernandez (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing).
LCR Honda Castrol / Idemitsu: Alex Rins e Takaaki Nakagami
Alex Rins’ arrival has been confirmed alongside Takaaki Nakagami for next year.
GASGAS Factory Racing Team: Paul Espargaro and CHI?
Current drivers: Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez
Next season, we will see the GASGAS brand relegated to the First Division thanks to the union with the Tech3 chassis. The name of one of the riders who will be Pol Espargaro is already known: the Spaniard will thus return to KTM after the brackets on the official Honda team.
