ROME – India’s Motogp is more than a hypothesis. The first steps of our role, intent on working on a possible future access to the World Championships in the country: Dorna Sports CEO, Carmelo EzpeletaHe recently traveled to India to meet with local authorities and potential Fairstreet Sports organisers. The first stage was held at the Buddh International Circuit, outside New Delhi, where the MotoGP event could be staged. In addition, the delegation traveled to Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the region where the circuit is located, to meet the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, and Minister of Industrial Development, Nand Gopal “Nandy”. The visit then concluded with a presentation held in New Delhi in front of the local media and representatives of the motorcycle industry who demonstrated the high expectation that exists in the country towards MotoGP.

“India is a large country as well as a market and is particularly important for the two-wheeler industry and the Motogp industry, which here boasts a large fan base,” says Ispeleta. “Being able to bring the MotoGP event to life will be a great spectacle for our fans and at the same time allow us to grow the sport in the region..
